The palace stated that no information about the type or stage of the princess’s illness would be released and requested that speculation be avoided. During this challenging time, the priority for the princess and her husband, Prince William, was to explain the situation to their children, George, Charlotte, and Louis, in an appropriate manner.

Princess Kate outlined her approach to her children as follows: “Above all, we had to take time to explain everything in a manner suitable for George, Charlotte, and Louis, and to assure them that everything will be okay. I told them, ‘I am fine, and I am focusing on the things that help me get stronger every day.'” She also mentioned that the support from Prince William has been a significant support and source of relief for her.
