UTKAN NEWS (Vienna) – The Upper Austrian state government has announced a heating cost subsidy of 200 euros to provide financial support to individuals affected by high heating costs and financial difficulties. This subsidy can be applied for digitally starting from February 1, 2023, via the official website of the state.
The state authorities emphasize that the application process is “quick and easy.” While this process could previously only be carried out in person at municipal offices, it is now fully digital. For older people and those who do not use a computer, the application can still be made in municipal offices or magistrates as an exception.
The income limit for receiving this support has been set at 17,700 euros for single-person households and 25,000 euros for multi-person households for the year 2022. This support will be an important aid for citizens struggling with high heating costs on cold winter days.
